Hi there!
I'm Amanda. It's great to meet you.
I have a BFA in Professional Writing from Baylor University and an MFA in Writing from Vermont College of Fine Arts' Writing for Children & Young Adults program. While at VCFA, I was honored to be mentored by writers A.R. Capetta, William Alexander, Anica Mrose Rissi, Martha Brockenbrough, and An Na.
I live in Southern California and work as a Medical Writer, which entails communicating cutting-edge research and scientific advancements within the biopharmaceutical, animal health, and reproductive medicine industries. When not glued to my current WIP, I spend my free time at hot yoga, thrifting for deals, or chasing my dog, Scout.
I primarily write Young Adult and Middle Grade stories. On the side, I write for the children's podcast Little Stories Everywhere on the Wondery network. I'm also a member of SCBWI's SoCal chapter.
